“ My dear sistafriend from Ghana is pregnant and has been craving good African meals. After reading reviews and taking suggestions of friends we visited Youma. Everything was delicious, especially the jollof and the fish. And be sure to get some hibiscus tea. The young lady who waited on us was very friendly and patient, helping us navigate the menu choices. Portions were a nice size, we left with takeout containers. Definitely will return soon ”
“ I ordered Dibi lamb with red rice ($13). I was soo pleased. The entree came with 4 pieces of lamb, I'm not a small eater and I could only take 3. It was so flavorful and tender. Not to mention the onions with sauce that comes with the lamb! Soo good. I also order cassava greens and white rice. For $11 and a side order of plantains which was really good too. I drank the hibiscus tea. It was so good I ordered 2. The staff was friendly. Needless to say I'll be back soon with friends. ”
“ I had a taste for cassava and went to this place for the first time and hunty they did not disappoint! The dish was so flavorful and seasoned just right. The rice was perfect. I was truly satisfied. It was enough to take home too. So the portion is worth the price. ”
“ If you like Indian, Caribbean foods you'll love this place... everything here is great. ”
“ I've been twice the food is really good, nice presentation . The atmosphere is comfortable with nice decor. The server we have gotten both times is a young girl and she just seems clueless...not attentive at all. But I give her a pass because she really just seems clueless and not mean lol. ”
“ The best plantains I ever had, great ginger based drinks, and flavorful lamb yassa. Will come back and this is highly recommended. ”
“ This is the second time I've gotten takeout from Youma. The yassa chicken is so spicy good!!! Lots of onions, carrots, and pepper to complement the Dijon mustard-y goodness. I switched out the white rice for the yellow rice. I probably should gotten plantains on the side, but that's my fault. The people working there are super nice. Typical Senegalese/West African hospitality - happy to see you and hoping you enjoy their food. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood. I'm looking forward to trying more of their dishes. ”
“ The portion are huge!!!! You will definitely come out full and satisfied. The spices were so good!! ”
